My thread was stored neatly in an old-fashioned wooden sewing box. I ended up buying so many of the same yarn and didn't even know what colors I had! I bought this shelf to display my threads. It holds 60 bobbins (6 rows of 10 each) and the spindles are shorter. Don't try to put sewing thread in it or you will trigger the great thread avalanche 2015! now it's hanging on the wall. I don't have a lot of mounting hardware so I used some nails and some wire to secure it. Seems stable enough. I'll end up buying another one because I have a lot more threads than I thought I would! TLDR: At $9 I couldn't beat the price and it helps me save money because I can see the thread colors I have. Works well for normal small size coils.
