UPDATE 4-14-19: I got my new kit a few days ago and finally hooked it up and installed all the drivers (very carefully) and oh my god this kit has everything you need what i hoped . The first one was defective, but Razer sent me a new one via RMA. Definitely worth the wait. Highly recommended! For a "budget" set, this thing exceeds all expectations. I still stand by everything I said in my original review. The convenience of these things is to die for. I don't want to take them off. Plus, they're great if you wear glasses! I'm not constantly taking my glasses off or taking a break from the constant pressure on my temple. Finally a headset my blind ass can enjoy**. The sound quality and comfort is way better than any other set I've had (and after that I bought 3 more sets from big brands and waited for this set to be ready). me). The Logitech set I own is incredibly impractical and will now be my backup. Sooo happy with this headset! If you are having trouble with yours, please read my original review and call Razer Support. I'm adding a star to make this a 5 star rating just because this headset is SO GOOD when it works properly. Normally it would stay 4 stars but as I love it so much. I think the disappointment and the wait were worth it. There is no backlight in this set! So if you want that distracting glow on your headset, this isn't for you. - First Review: I wrote a very long, great review that I put aside while I was playing around with the drivers. An hour after the headset was taken out of the box, it broke. By broken I mean that it no longer plays any sound on my PC. At least not entirely. The sound was incredibly good until the end of the driver installation. Bass. My God. So incredible. Not to mention the convenience of these things, man! But after installing the drivers, the sound became so quiet that I could barely hear anything. I turned the equalizer all the way up and heard almost nothing. I nearly cried. I've tried everything. I had the volume on the PC, headset cable and controller at full volume. I reinstalled all audio related drivers. Eventually I contacted Razer Support and they were absolutely fantastic. Eventually we came to the conclusion that the hardware was indeed the culprit and he arranged for me to get a brand new set as soon as they got my old one. I bought a used set from Revain not theirs. And they knew it very well. I didn't want to simply return this set because it is truly amazing: 1. The sound quality (before it stopped working) was amazing. I turned on Aesthetic Perfection, turned up the bass on the controller and BOOM! It felt like playing a live industrial show again and standing between two amps. I mean absolutely amazing! I have no idea how the drivers managed to stop working.2. Comfort is something I didn't even know existed! I mean, no, I'm not a hardcore gamer who buys every brand of gaming equipment, but I've spent thousands of dollars on a comfortable bed and furniture. I'm a game modder (Skyrim, SSE, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dragons Dogma, TW3, FO4, etc.) whose only goal is to offer players an incredible, immersive and realistic experience through hyper-realistic textures. Basically, quality and wearing comfort are very important to me. So I can know a thing or two about the importance of good sound quality.3. Microphone Okay, I wasn't expecting much based on the reviews. And I didn't care. I really never plan on using the mic since I'm playing solo now (I don't have the time or patience to mess with Beibers anymore by the way, thanks for ruining MMOs! luvyewguyz). But in any case, the mic seemed to work fantastically. No problems reported by other people there, although I haven't done extensive testing as I don't have friends. Definitely a lone wolf (optional). However, I am annoyed that Revane sent me a defective device. I guess I can't blame them. This is the first time I've bought a used/refurbished Revain product that doesn't work. I'll update this review as soon as I get a new one, although I can't get it from here. Revain reviews are about the product itself, not the seller. As far as I know, the purpose of seller feedback is to give you a rating for the seller. I got the headset SUPER early (actually two days. I have prime and two days shipping, but it usually takes four days to get everything I order. But it took one day). So that's pretty cool. I'm pretty sure Revain is just checking that the product turns on and didn't think to plug in the controller and check that it's plugged in and working properly. I'm glad I contacted Razer and got them to take it so no one else gets a defective item.
