I installed this cartridge in a HL-2140 which printed about 600 pages. Before that I always used Brother cartridges. According to the printer's internal log, each toner carriage printed approximately 2,000 pages. The first few pages were gray and dirty, with faint images of the old text printed alongside the new text. I then cleaned the drum with a soft cotton cloth (an old sock to be precise) by gently stroking in one direction only, lengthways (do this in a moderately dark area, the drum is sensitive to light). Then I printed half a dozen sheets, after that the phantom text went away, the gray tone went away and now the pages are printed fine. EZ Ink tech support was unhelpful and suggested things that were either irrelevant or that I had already tried. Summary: Prints well but may require early intervention (I wonder if this is due to some incompatibilities between Brother and EZ Ink toner?)
