I use a Pi board to create a complex circuit that often illustrates a point or concept and I use an expansion board for this purpose. Pastall Raspberry Pi 4 GPIO Expansion Board, GPIO Expansion Board is a good tool for this purpose and I have used it in more than ten projects like this and the construction is good, the pins are not damaged after several plugging and unplugging cycles. It works with Raspberry Pi 1/2/3 and 4b boards and the board is solid build and decent size (55*66mm). But I like the extra screws and caps to add this GPIO board extension to fold the board nicely into a small space and I loved this extra package.
