After 8 weeks I knew my son was ready for the kids gym and I started looking for a machine that was 1) cheap and 2) with lots of black and white articles was. and this Bright Starts Kids Gym is for you. My son loves the tiger, I think it's his best friend. I didn't put batteries in him until he was older because he loved him even without the flashing lights and music, but now when I turn on the tiger he goes nuts. I always try to talk to the tiger! My husband and I have the same fun as my son just watching him smile, coo and play on toys. I took off a star because the giraffe pillow is random and not attached so I attached it to one of the bars with sticky velcro for my son to kick and it worked great. I don't think it's as portable as other gyms. But you can also throw the rug in the washing machine and due to the light material it doesn't even need to be dried in the dryer, just a few minutes in the sun and it's done.
