***UPDATE 12/13/2018*** I have changed my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars as the crystal file was completely broken in the middle and now looks like a semi intact one File and semi-crystalline sand. Listen, I understand that the crystal can break (I'm not stupid). However, I had dozens of crystal nail files, and although I lost a few of them, I never powdered them. Actually, I'm also really upset because the big file was my favorite in the set. I would avoid this set and get one instead or keep your large file in a hard case. Big problem, I had broken nails. My nails kept breaking or peeling off, especially in winter. They collapsed in the nail bed, making healing painful and difficult. I've heard that crystal nail files are better than regular nail files and that filing a nail is much better than trimming because it puts less pressure on the nail. I ordered this set to have the file at home, in the bathroom and in my travel bag. The quality of the files amazed me - I know people who will resell individual crystal files for $10-15 and get a set of three for such a low price was wonderful. I also liked the color options and opted for the blue and yellow mermaid combo. I finally found that I really like the big file - it's all crystal but the size and shape of a traditional file. I've never seen one that big, but it's perfect for my large hands and big enough not to get lost easily. Each file also has its own cover so the crystal doesn't get damaged which was a nice bonus. You can't go wrong with this set! A very practical and enjoyable addition to your nail care routine!
