I may be spoiled. I owned one of these back in the 90's and it was a joy to use, so I was expecting that things would have improved through the years. Heats super quickly, I'd say in about 20-30 mins. Helps a lot for dry skin on my hands, which is what I bought it for. I put in all the wax it came with and it's just enough to cover most of my hand. Bought some extra wax to add in. Only thing is that it doesn't have an auto off! Accidentally tested that out. it didn't burn the house down or melt the unit after being on for 8+ hours so that's pretty good I guess.

My arthritic hands are eased, and the treatment leaves my skin soft. I'd purchase again.I recommend purchasing add'l wax when you buy the unit.

I replaced a very old Homedics unit with this one. I’m very happy with it. I do wish it came with more wax. It comes with enough to fill it to the 2000ml line. It heats quickly, much more quickly than my old unit. Good unit, decent price.

The unit was very light weight which scared me a bit seeing it would of been filled with wax. the wax was a VERY STRONG scent which would of given me a headache so I returned it and am waiting for a wax well.

The paraffin wax machine is easy to use . I wish that the kid had a locking / storage mechanism on the lid for more of a healthy storage and reuse of the wax since you need to use a lot of wax to have the optimal effect in pain relief.

Pros: Helps with immediate pain, comes with plenty of hand and foot coverings, wax melts in 30 minutes, big enough for women's feet sizes up to 9.Cons: I wish it had a setting to keep wax at a set temp for use, need to buy more wax to fill the machine adequately.

I was very excited for this product to work, however, I am disappointed.There is a 60 degree? setting and a 70 degree? setting (it also comes with a thermometer) the wax gets way to hot to dip your hands in so you need to shut it off and let it cool down. I had previously bought another type of machine that didn't have the ability to do temperature adjustments and would make the wax scalding hot and unable to use so purchased this one later as a replacement. It's easy enough for my 81yr old father to use for his arthritis and he has no problem adjusting the temp on it to suit him. To begin with, the wax that came with this smelled terrible and artificial, and the lid didn't fit, so that it would slide into the hot wax. The temperature controls didn't help either, since by the time the wax cooled enough to be comfortable on the skin, it was starting to solidify again. Sent it back.

Took about 30 minutes to melt wax. Easy to turn on. Not happy that the lid did not really fit on it. Loved the plastic covers and mitts. A little over priced for quality of machine.
