More than anything else, I wanted a tray big enough for a large plate, soup bowl and cutlery with little space left over. These trays were the answer. At first I thought they might be too light but now I know that is part of the design because they are easier to carry when loaded with food etc. I suggest putting a small kitchen towel under the plates to make cleaning even easier.
