These shoes are close enough to the body not to slip or fly away when swimming in the sea, but they are also very comfortable. They also dry very quickly, although I haven't used them for walking on dry ground. I've also used them for swimming in a few sinkholes where there was a lot of wet rocks and some moss and they definitely help with balance and protect your feet from smaller rocks. The shoes are thin enough at the bottom that you can still feel the texture of the ground you're walking on, so I'd still avoid noticeably sharp rocks. The only negative thing about white stuff is that it gets dirty - I had moss on the fabric and the stain didn't come out even after washing. It's a very small spot, but because it's white, it's very noticeable. I'll try the prewash and the afterwash and see how it goes. Otherwise great water shoes and very cheap!
