Review on Z Threaded Hex Flanged Internal Threads Hardware in Nails, Screws & Fasteners by Chris Hossain

Great find! for nuts

Great inserts at an exceptional price. This was a project to replace worn out old Threaded Inserts. I am including photos to show the new inserts next to the old ones that were replaced. There are various tools to do this job. You can use an M8 hex wrench that fits perfectly on top of the liner, but take extra care when screwing into hardwood, especially when installing the liner for the first time. By using the correct size drill bit for the pilot holes, you will have no problem installing the inserts with just a hex wrench. The best way to ensure the inserts don't break during installation is to use a long bolt with two lock nuts on top of the insert and secure it in hardwood with a wrench - see attached photos. Overall this is great value for money and a great choice to complete any DIY projects. Thanks to the suppliers' detailed specifications, finding the best option was easy, easier than going to the big stores. For added confidence I went with flanged ones for extra strength in the top of the hex. Please note that these inserts are primarily intended for softwood projects, but can be used on hardwood if installed correctly.
