Sloppy threads limit Utility

The 5/16" female thread seems pretty sloppy. I used patio chair leg inserts to install the leveling legs. So it is unlikely that there will be any problems. But in any other case, I'd be afraid to over-tighten the screw because I'm almost certain the insert's threads will snap.

Great for installing thread rolls

I enjoy building things in my wood shop and was dissatisfied with the standard T-Nuts as they just didn't seem secure enough. The EZ Lock threaded insert was what I needed to fit under a 4 2x6 support leg for a mobile vertical 10 potted plant tower I built for my wife. For my liner that I bought I drilled a 7/16 hole and then just installed it with Alan's wrench, it's flush, secure and sturdy.

Buy extra ones for the ones you end up breaking.

Even with the right insertion tool (which is expensive) the rim will tear about 1 in 5 or 6 times once the insert is fully installed. It was neatly drilled and made of incense cedar, not solid wood by any means. Removal was a challenge for me, but I was able to complete the insert by tightening a bolt with a nut onto the insert. The insert then rotated and the nut prevented the insert edge from further chipping.

Excellent furniture repair!

I used these inserts to replace crappy drop in types in my living room furniture. They made a much stronger connection to the legs and were easy to install. The drill size required (in metric units) is printed on the package so there's no guesswork. I recommend purchasing an assembly tool and using a socket drill for installation as it will speed up the process and make a direct install easier. All in all, this is a quality product at a good price.

PERFECT for clamping dangling chair legs!

I inherited this magnificent table from my dear nephew and his wife. I could never afford such a heavy dinner service. However, I didn't understand that I had to work to get my legs to bear the weight again. Husband took out all the old earbuds and we ordered these at such a great price. Voila, the length has gotten longer and so have the teeth. It was worth the delay to restore her honor. We are so proud that our friends and family are sitting down, ENJOY!

Used them to add wheels to a chair

My wife wanted me to add wheels to a pair of chairs that weren't supposed to have wheels. I don't ask questions; I just do what I'm told. I tried the t-nuts first but they wouldn't stay in the wooden legs and the wheels just fell out. Then I tried these thread inserts. These were the right items for the job. They hold the wheels in place very firmly. A few notes. I was lucky enough to drill a 3/8 inch hole. When mounting wheels, try to drill as close to 90 degrees as possible. The inner…

Great find! for nuts

Great inserts at an exceptional price. This was a project to replace worn out old Threaded Inserts. I am including photos to show the new inserts next to the old ones that were replaced. There are various tools to do this job. You can use an M8 hex wrench that fits perfectly on top of the liner, but take extra care when screwing into hardwood, especially when installing the liner for the first time. By using the correct size drill bit for the pilot holes, you will have no problem installing the
