Used them to add wheels to a chair

My wife wanted me to add wheels to a pair of chairs that weren't supposed to have wheels. I don't ask questions; I just do what I'm told. I tried the t-nuts first but they wouldn't stay in the wooden legs and the wheels just fell out. Then I tried these thread inserts. These were the right items for the job. They hold the wheels in place very firmly. A few notes. I was lucky enough to drill a 3/8 inch hole. When mounting wheels, try to drill as close to 90 degrees as possible. The inner diameter of the hex is 5/16 inch. I used a 5/16" hex socket on the socket wrench and it made it easier to screw them in. The internal threads are very clean and I had no problem threading the wheels into these sockets after installing them on the chairs.
