I cannot give this gate a bad review. I've spent years looking for gates my ferrets can't get through. Most of them can jump up and reach up. You can't do it with it, but you can climb it. I even tried modifying it with cardboard. nope Still does not work. They get under the loose part in the box and still climb on it. This is a great gateway for other animals. Just no ferrets.

Difficult width adjustment due to wooden adjustment bar and metal lock. The wooden adjustment bar has notches and indexes, making it difficult to fix small differences in doorways. The adjustment bar is wood, so I had to be careful not to pull too hard on the wood to lock it in place. My door is just an opening (not a real door) with a plinth on the floor. This makes the tension uneven.

I have a 14 lb Yorkie/Poodle mix and she can slide/tilt the gate far enough to get out of an enclosed space. I thought this gate would be perfect because of the height as my dog can jump quite high. However, she can push in enough for the rubber plugs to dislodge (on the side used to hold the gate in place), giving her enough room to slip under the gate.
