Great looking tool, but totally useless, at least for me.

The multi tool is made of very high quality steel and looks great. But actually the choice of tools in it is very strange and I can hardly find a use for just one of them. The steel has a nice shine, all pivot points are well greased and solid. A few tools come out all at once, but it's no big deal. The logo is also stylish. And it comes with a high quality nylon bag. This multi tool looks and feels high quality, but I find it pretty useless. The selection of Allen keys here makes no sense to me. There's a whopping 8mm that's too big for any of my bikes, even wheel axles. It goes straight to the 5mm which isn't very well machined and fits too loosely on my 5mm bolts making me not want to use them for fear they will strip the bolts. Then he goes to 2.5 mm (?). Then there are some screwdrivers that are ok and nothing special. The chain tool takes up a lot of space in the multi-tool, but its pin is bent to the side, making everything unusable. All other tools are fine, but I don't see much use for them, especially in modern bikes. In general, this multitool confuses me a bit. It looks and feels good, but I really can't find any use for it in my entire bike. It's supposed to be portable, but with a broken chain breaker and half the others that don't fit on any of my bikes and still take up a ton of space and weight, I can't justify carrying it anywhere just to be a working few. this. For me it will be the weight of the paper. I think it might work for some, but make sure you can use at least half of the tools in it. I was afraid the Allen keys would be smaller. They could possibly be strippers. from your bolts, that is.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
