I'm amazed at the incredibly sophisticated bike hangers on the market, but this is a simple functional alternative. The assembly allows a very efficient use of space. This is especially useful if you have a lot of rarely used bikes. Note that bikes can stick out a little more than expected. Other reviewers say it's difficult to find the middle ground, but it's actually very easy. Simply locate the studs, lift the bike up, find where the top bar touches the wall and attach the hook so that the hook is about 300mm higher. It may be a little higher than absolutely necessary, but it will clear the ground slightly. When I first installed the bracket, the bottom wheel was resting on the cinder block basement wall of the garage, so I lifted the bracket up a bit and it came off easily. Don't be afraid to set it too high. This mount works well on the back wall of a garage. This gets the bikes out of the way, but it can be inconvenient to get the bikes past the auto dumpsters and anything else in the garage. If you need to access your bike frequently, a horizontal sidewall mount may be your best bet.
