I bought this to clean up a sterling silver necklace that has been hanging on my wall for years. I've had the necklace for 15 years and have never cleaned it properly. I took it off the wall when everything arrived, poured some coffee into a mug and left my necklace in there for a few minutes. Then I took the cup, looked inside and saw that it was already working. I then shook the jar in a circular motion for a few minutes to help the solution penetrate the cracks and crevices of the necklace. Then when I was done, I took the denim and carefully threaded the chain through the denim. Then when I was done, I poured hot water over the whole chain to give it a thorough rinse, then dried the chain by running it through another cotton cloth several times. The chain now looks almost new and I bet it will definitely look like new after one more cleaning. I recommend this product, it's not too expensive and it cleans silver really well. A+
