Review on Leifheit 25795 Rolly Wall Mounted Holder by Jon Thawngzauk

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I don't like this product.

Paper towel/wax paper/foil dispenser Poor design. I bought a Leifheit 25795 to replace an obsolete Rubbermaid dispenser that was attached to the underside of an upper kitchen wall cabinet. The Rubbermaid model was out of production for 20-30 years and mine was falling apart. The Leifheit product was installed on a large kitchen cupboard door. My adult son and I went through the instructions and reviews in detail before attempting to assemble it. The same instructions are used for several models and are written in 6-7 languages. Leifheit would have to print a page in each language and could box all the copies at no extra charge, making it easier for the buyer. They also had to read reviews and improve the design to allow for thicker paper towel rolls; The ones we use are only standard size, but we added a plastic paper towel dispenser that we used in the basement that allowed for larger rolls. The aluminum foil dispenser is poorly constructed; does not allow easy access to the mounting holes; I had to use a very small screwdriver to do this. In addition, the other knife must be moved across the wax paper several times to make a cut. Otherwise it's a usable product. I just hope the plastic parts don't break. I bought an additional model of this item to have another foil cutting roll for the wax paper roll (we don't use plastic foil). The polyethylene film wheel is neither sharp nor round. With this round and sharper wheel, the cutting performance is slightly improved, but the scissors work better.

Pros
  • Paper towel holder
Cons
  • Almost never
