I try to keep extra pumps in case one suddenly dies. This is especially important for small fish and spawning tanks where the fish (especially the discus we breed) are VERY sensitive to water conditions. I have emergency theater power and pumps in case of problems and they proved lifesavers for many of our fish when we had a power outage in FEBRUARY ALL THE TIME that lasted over 12 hours due to severe thunderstorms (we live in southern New Jersey) , if this weather is very rare. Thanks to these little pumps I now have 25 little discus who are now about 3 1/2 months old where we would have lost them all as one of our main pumps (serving 4 tanks at once) just failed. That's when we discovered how well made these little beauties are. I now run them regularly in ALL of our small aquariums. The price is unreasonable and they are more reliable than pumps twice the price. Thanks seller and will definitely buy again.
