I bought them to look barefoot with some platform shoes and I immediately liked them. I'm a fan of wool socks because of my wool sport socks, so I knew they would breathe well. What surprised me is how well they hold up...the heel never sinks into my shoes like everyone else's. Their secret is a small strip of rubber on the heel that you never feel, but that keeps the heel up. I tried them on my wife and now she seems to have adopted all of them from me so I bought a few more. These new ones have a larger elastic but work in the same way. They are very comfortable and never smell... they are the best and we will worth the money for summer shoes!
