I have problems with the cervical spine and neuralgia of the scalp. When I lie on my back, my scalp rubs against an ordinary pillow, which irritates my neuralgia. I sleep on both my back and side so this pillow seemed perfect for me as I have a wider base when lying on my side and only neck support when lying on my back. The shape is a great idea and would work great if it was a quality pillow. It's terrible, huh! It went flat after a few nights of use. The bottom line here is that pancakes are good to eat but terrible to sleep on. save your money
