Munchkin silicone spoons in assorted colors are a fun and essential part of my DIY skincare toolkit. I keep them with my jars of various creamy serums and lotions, some of which cannot be used at the same time. These color-coded long-handled toddler spoons have proven to be a great way to avoid potential cross-contamination between different concoctions when pouring is out of the question due to consistency. (For example, I won't dip the spoon in anything with niacinamide B3 if I've previously used the spoon in an acidic formulation to avoid a potentially problematic interaction.) It's also better for the skin if you don't put your fingers anyway dipped into skincare products to protect them from germs, whether store-bought or homemade.
