Great to protect the dinner table and subtly getting my son to learn the states and where they are.Remember to remove the plastic protective layer from the reverse so it doesn’t slide around on the table.

This is just okay. I don't think anyone looked at this thing they just started printing. There are misspellings, i.e. Arctic Ocean is spelled wrong (Artic). The smaller countries letters are so small you need a magnifying glass to read them. You can read the larger countries ok (Russia, Brazil, etc). On the plus side it seems nice and durable.

The placemat itself appears durable and very easy to clean, but I also received a defective placemat with the misspellings of Arctic and Kazakhstan. The picture online also doesn't show that it's more opaque/see through, so the colors are not as bright as I had hoped. If it makes a difference, the border of mine is purple, different from the blue in the photo and there is no non-slip back that is advertised. Perhaps they have updated it in the past month and I just got one from the bad batch…

Bought this placemat for my 3 year old granddaughter so that I could show her where we went on a recent European vacation. Love the little pictures on some of the countries. Seems durable and easy to clean and it doesn't slide around. Haven't used it much yet, but hopeful it will last awhile.

We bought these for our two three year old grandsons, who love to say "I’m in NJ, and you’re in NC”, etc. when they talk on duo. now they can point to where they live, and the route we travel back and forth. They are starting to grasp the idea of states being part of a country, and where oceans are. It’s great if you have family all over.

In trying to learn some much needed geography, we need a map where you can actually read the names of countries. Almost impossible to read the European, Polynesian, and the countries in Asia. Very disappointing as this was advertised as an educational tool.

Grandkids love using these mats! They always have many questions so its a good learning experience too! This one in particular is large, thick, and non-skid. Great placemat!

Excellent place mat.only four stars because the "non slip" backing barely works.the mat isn't as slippery as a mat without the rubberized backing, but wish it had more grip on the table. Colors are bright, mat well made, and the grandchildren love them.they have absolutely NO idea they are learning geography.

Great quality map. Map is strong and will endure a lot of use. I like that the map is colorful and has the name of the State written out, which will help my elementary aged daughter learn where all 50 States are located. My daughter loves the map and looks forward to learning where her "state of the day" is located.

Thick, nice quality, washable. Be aware that some words are impossible for a child with good eyes and a magnifying glass to read. That was disappointing to this adult who would have liked to be able to read them!

Nice quality placemat that works well for my 3 year old. My only complaint is that the upper peninsula of Michigan was left off the map. We are from the lower peninsula of Michigan, and it's a bummer that a big part of our state is missing. I would have given a 5 star review if the map was complete.

Nice map, bright colors and cleans easily. I only wish it had some type of skid or slide proof back. It does tend to slide easily on the table.

I bought this place mat for my fifth grade son. This year in school he has to memorize all the states and capitals. The place mat was an helpful study guide while he was eating breakfast.

Great quality, very sturdy, washable. My kids actually drew with crayons on it and I could clean it with no problems. Just one detail - some of the smaller fonts pointing to cities are so small that its impossible to read. My 7 year old keeps on trying to decipher those. Still, excellent educational material being presented in a fun way. They ARE LEARNING with no efforts. :) Thank you, guys!

Very cute and durable placemat. We've only had this mat for a couple week, and my newly turned 2 year old already knows where all the different continents are!However, this is not the best non-slip placemat. The little rubber beads on the back of the placemat wash or rub off quite easily, leaving you with quite a slippery bottom surface.

My kids got great grades in school as to geography - and cite this placemat -(over which they had breakfast every morning before school). Great gift for any child!

The placemat is very nice, but came in with a folding damage and I was not happy with that. I cannot repair that. But it is nice to learn all states with their capitals as European citizin.

These are perfect for keeping in a school desk. My son is 4.5 and he knows his maps. This is great with little pictures for younger children as well (my 3yr old)

I bought this placemat as a tool to help my 5th grader memorize his USA states & capitals. This product is made well and I love the non slip backing. Print and color on the front is child (and adult) friendly and fun to use as a teaching tool. My 5th grader has to memorize all of the US capitals & states for his 4th quarter memorization piece. This placemat works well as a placemat. The plastic wipes clean easily and seems durable. My two year old enjoys looking at the pictures and designs. However, the map is riddled with misspellings: New Zeland, Artic (repeatedly), Zimbawe? I wouldn't plan on using this for kids who can read.
