I knew I wanted a down-free coat this winter, but I was concerned if it would keep me as warm as a down jacket. I'm happy to report that this one DEFINITELY weathered the winter weather in the North East. I wouldn't wear it on a mountaineering expedition lol but that's not what it's for. It has kept me warm day after day as I commute to work and go about my daily routine. This jacket is stylish and fits well. The ONLY reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it has one of those "double zips" that drives me nuts! I often pull it up instead of using zippers. but I was still warm enough with the snaps. All in all a great fluffy alternative to a parka!
