Definitely has a real audiophile โ€œwow effectโ€!

There are SO many things about the Engelshorn that impress me. But first you have to be a true audiophile to understand how this turntable was designed and built. Gone are the days of automatic players where you just put down a stack of records and walk away. Those were the WORST! Of course you can also do other things for a longer period of time. But they were very damaging to your records. A true collector wouldn't even consider owning one of these things. First, the turntable body is ONE PIECE OF OAK! No chipboard, no hollow cardboard, no cheap scrap! In addition, there is a direct drive with a single belt, without gears or belts. And the motor has ONE job, the turntable. Replacing records and adjusting the tonearm is YOUR job, just like any other turntable that has "premium" status. Now the tonearm is another factor. As we all know, too much (or too little) pressure on a record can affect the sound quality, not to mention wear and tear on the vinyl. And vinyl is a fragile medium, revered as one of the finest sources of true stereo sound. We vinyl lovers collect the best records and do our best to preserve this quality. When we play our records, we do it with love and care. The tonearm of this turntable is specially made for us. Its counterweight is perfect, allowing us to set the scale down to the microgram. I have never seen a tonearm with more precise adjustment than this one. The ability to switch between input types is a nice feature. Some of us prefer to use our own preamps, which allows us to further customize the sound quality. I do. Many Thanks. The dust cover is great for those who have the turntable on it. Mine is in my entertainment center and I have chosen not to use it. I am VERY happy with my Angel's Horn turntable and am happy to give it five stars.
