Recommended. I replaced two T5 fluorescent tubes with an 18" strip of these LEDs and easily doubled the light output of the fixture. I connected directly to 12 V in an apartment building. Using these strips is much easier than fiddling with LED strips. There are 10 strips in the pack. each about 22 inches long is mounted on thin strips of aluminum. Each stripe is on double sided tape. Each strip also has a male braid at one end and a female braid at the other. If necessary, the bars can be connected. The kit includes multiple mating connectors of both types for easy connection. Each strip can be cut approximately every two inches.
