Review on πŸ’Ί Serta Ergonomic Executive Office Chair: Motion Technology, Adjustable Mid Back Design, With Lumbar Support in Brown Bonded Leather by Terry Murphy

First take: an unusual chair. Second shot: useless

Second shot. This chair is not suitable. If I could remove the fixed cushion and attach the extra one they sent with the chair I could get it to work. But here I am: my knees are wide apart, the chair is in its lowest position, the short seat cushion doesn't support my legs below mid-thigh, and the roller pushes me forward. Beautiful fabric, tall, beautiful appearance. It's impossible for me to sit inside. First "take it". Just finished the assembly, I'm sitting. I can't imagine anyone using extra lumbar support. With other chairs I had to adjust the height as much as possible to be comfortable. I set these to the minimum so my feet are square on the floor and I have my "male extension" fully engaged. If I move my knees closer together, the roller pushes me forward and makes me feel like I'm slipping. I'm 5'8" and 225 pounds. This back cushion has it all. I will update this review in a few days or a week. I pushed my buttocks away completely and the roller hooked my lower back. In no other chair did I feel like my lumbar roll was pushing me back. The seat wobbles back and forth, and the lumbar roll repeats exactly that (they're bolted together). The upper cushion of the seat back barely touches the shoulder blades. There is a pad-to-pad noise when the seat cushion wobbles, so I'm not sure how long it will take for the contact surfaces to wear out. Assembly took a while, but not too much. I used our garbage truck (a large plastic cart with wheels) as a work surface and covered the cart with a patchwork rug to keep the fabric of the chair from wrinkling.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
