All my life I've had hot coffee from just about any coffee maker. drop it Do you want good coffee? Got it. This press is particularly good. It is inexpensive, aesthetically pleasing, well built, lightweight, durable and ergonomic. My only, very minor, complaint is how the brass frame holds onto the pan. It doesn't seem to have been made that carefully (weird sap stain inside which I first thought was sediment, water leaked between pot and frame) but to be honest it doesn't mean anything. It's probably just mine. If you watch James Hoffman's video on using a French press, here's what I did with it. I bought freshly roasted Ethiopian coffee that was ground too medium, at the rate of 70 grams of coffee per liter of water. (The scale I bought helped a lot.) The total brew time was 12 minutes, which was my preference. It tasted absolutely amazing. This press was worth every penny.
