This is a good product that does its job properly. I was able to connect all my game consoles and TV to my monitor. Obviously the picture isn't as good as the TV, simply because the monitor isn't a TV, so no one should complain about "loss of quality". The only thing I don't like is that I get a blue screen when exiting instead of my splash screen staying on for a while. In addition, the product allows you to switch between VGA, composite video and S-Video. This is a very "flat" box and the connections are good simply because they work properly. The cables that come with it are fine too. I'm not sure why people like to bother with cable thickness when it's clearly a standard sized cable. In general, you can use this product to watch TV, play video games, or connect a camcorder to view on a monitor. Please note this is not PC to TV. This is a surveillance TV. Anything that has an RCA video connector, VGA connector or Svideo slot will allow you to properly use this device.
