Do not buy! to accessories and consumables

It was the European version, not the American one. The fork was not stuck in the wall. I contacted support and they agreed to send me a power converter adapter. After waiting a total of about a month, I finally decided to use my video converter. It turns out that the video converter itself is defective. Such a disappointment and waste of time!

Works, but not all composite signals sync.

Works as advertised. Used on a large VGA monitor that only accepts VGA signals of 800 x 600 and below. Colors are not syncing to my NES and the image is showing. It works great with a plug-in gaming system and SEGA Saturn with Composite and S-Video. It has many settings for individual permissions and it works. For $12 it's worth it, I just want it to work with my NES.

Great product for audio and video accessories

Exactly as described. I've used it to display a driveway camera (composite signal) to connect an unused PC monitor (VGA) and it works great. The picture is perfect and for $19.27 and free shipping you can't beat it. Best deal I've had in years. It took about 3 weeks because it came from China, but I took my time. One more thing, I had to sign for this article and I wasn't home so I had to make sure I signed for it. Why subscribe for $19.00? This is China for you.

I should have PAL version instead of NTSC.

It took a long time to receive. When I finally received it, the picture was only black and white. I think it's a PAL device. I live in the US so I have NES NTSC. The box says it supports NTSC and PAL, but even reading the manual doesn't help. There is a QC sticker on what should be a PAL/NTSC switch, but even after removing the sticker it's just a hole with nothing behind it. I bought two and both show the same behavior. Avoid!

Pros
  • Good product for the price.
Cons
  • Obsolete model.

one looks good the other is useless

Just received 2 of these. In the first, I connected the laptop's VGA output to the input and the LCD projector to the output. The image looked faint. I replaced the converter with a female to female VGA adapter to confirm this. Then I open the second block, which by the way was noticeably different from the other. The VGA bandwidth looked ok. I haven't tested the S-Video input yet. I'm waiting for my camera to come back from the show I just did.

Great picture for the money

I bought this to connect my original XBOX to a 4:3 1024x768 monitor. I get a bright, stable picture with this device, which. I had a previous device that was very different from this one and the output image was always dark with a wavy image due to noise. This left that one completely covered in dust. I have yet to try an S-VIDEO connection, I only used composite but I expect the picture to be just as good if not better.

Should work fine on most devices but not on my custom board.

Received yesterday for use with an old ZX81 computer converted to ZXmore (modern ZX81) where using the converter on 2 different monitors doubled the display and shifted it by 1/2". I know ZXmore displays well on a TV with composite I used a converter to take the ZXmore's composite output and go to the converter to get the VGA signal on the monitor Tendak to HDMI composite video with it Upscale for $50. This should work and work fine.

Worked as a display

I bought this unit to use with security cameras. I still have a Dell computer monitor that I wanted to use with the cameras. The input on the monitor is VGA, so I needed RCA VGA inputs. This box is perfect for that. I have a very good picture on the monitor. The only negative - I have no sound on the monitor. After reading other reviews I found out that VGA does not carry audio from RCA. The monitor only has a VGA input, so I can't connect an additional audio cable to it. In general I am…

Great product - does the job

This is a good product that does its job properly. I was able to connect all my game consoles and TV to my monitor. Obviously the picture isn't as good as the TV, simply because the monitor isn't a TV, so no one should complain about "loss of quality". The only thing I don't like is that I get a blue screen when exiting instead of my splash screen staying on for a while. In addition, the product allows you to switch between VGA, composite video and S-Video. This is a very "flat" box and the…

EDIT - system died. Most likely I will order again as more than 3 years have passed since the purchase. I can understand that he is dying now. So I'm not deducting a star. I think this product is really well made! Does its job and does it well. My only gripe is that the picture is a little dark, but you won't notice it unless you have two pictures back-to-back (I could say that) and even if you do you might end up with brightness and color contrast . No delays, just a reliable product that gets
