Review on Stay Dry and Adventurous with Merrell πŸ₯Ύ OAKCREEK Waterproof Backpacking Shoes and Boots for Unisex Boys by Patrick Goodrich

Cautiously optimistic

I've been looking for decent shoes for about ten years now. I had trouble walking, which I didn't realize at first. Until the cheapening of shoes in 2008, there really wasn't a big problem when they fell apart the moment you put them on. I've been through a lot of brands. I think it helps that this shoe is more like a boot. I'm a woman who wears size 5.5/6 shoes and I'm a size 4. I was able to break them in in one day - don't know if that's good or bad so I got one star. But I walk 3 hours with a dog that pulls so it's way better than the last few shoes I've tried (Sketchers, New Balance). I hope this lasts a year and hope to remember to come back and update.

Pros
  • Superior hold
Cons
  • The tread pattern may not provide adequate traction on slippery or uneven surfaces.
