Let's discuss the important aspects of these pants. Size, Warmth, Quality. I have a short athletic build (5ft 6in, 175#, large buttocks and hips, average waist - waist size 33-34). I chose size L although I usually wear medium. They might tighten as I gain weight but they are in perfect condition now. If you are taller there is extra length but the velcro at the ankles keeps the length in check for smaller guys like me. They also don't clump too much, so they still look good and are tapered. Next, heat. Today I did my first ride in below 30F and stayed very warm. These pants are somewhat breathable, but a lot of warmth stays in and cold stays out. However, sweat also stays inside. In fact, sweat stays in the lining for many hours. (I bike to work and at the end of the day the pants are gone, my sweat was still wet when I put them back on to go home.) But hey, I'll take this. Haven't tested them in the rain . Finally quality. Haven't ridden enough miles to test durability, but as far as original quality goes, they're pretty solid and well built. Only 2 pockets left and right. Looks like the flash isn't up to par. They're not terrible, but they will burst if your pockets get too full. That's okay because these pants are made for cycling in cold weather. Very comfortable when driving and very stylish.
