Too small on the bike

Cycling shorts, especially winter cycling shorts, are difficult to adjust, no matter who makes them. I'm a tall rider (6'1", 235 lbs) but in good shape. Not your typical bike build but the cold doesn't scare me on 30-40 mile winter rides. I've tried on these pants and even the largest sizes was enough. It's frustrating when I can fit in 38" (almost 36") waist pants, but even XL, 2XL or 3XL bike pants are too tight. Not all cyclists are 5'8". and weigh 150 pounds.

  • Slight fit

  • Not bad

Better quality than bigger brands, very satisfied

The quality of these pants I found is much better than bigger brands and with really a lot of attention to certain important details like zips and inner padding. Not so much that I can pedal comfortably. As with almost every brand, I had to increase the size by 1 step for this type of clothing. If I wasn't using a bike pad I could keep my normal size, but for convenience I enlarged it and it worked perfectly. This is perfect for downhill, enduro or cold rides on early winter days.

Good cycling pants for cold weather

"Road" tested these pants a few days ago. Biked 16 miles in 30 to 40 degree weather in rain, sleet and wind. I usually wear cycling shorts in this weather, so it was different when I wore shorts that were a bit loose. So far I'm happy with these pants. They kept me warm and kept out the rain. I usually wear medium pants but after reading other reviews I ordered the larger ones. They fit perfectly and appear to be well made. Update: I've been wearing them on my bike for a few weeks now and I'm…

Absolutely the best choice for harsh winter weather

They have it all: fit, performance, fabric, flexibility, finish, comfort, looks, value. I drive every day of the year in upstate New York. I took a closer look and second place cost $220 more. These are the right ones when it's too cold for winter pants, it's raining or windy and you still have to get on your bike. Two tips: First, it's like armor. Despite the excellent inner fabric, they are not breathable. So when you work hard, sweat condenses in the cold. Underneath I wear light tights or…

Brilliant! Female cyclists - see here.

I ride my bike all year round. These are the best! I've been looking for decent waterproof cycling pants that are NOT tights for years! They can even be waterproof for miles. I don't know yet because we haven't had a flood here since I bought it. There are two nice deep front pockets - this is zipped (if I remember correctly). The legs do not attach, but are wide enough to easily pass the leg through. A strange plastic tab is used to tighten the pant leg and attach to the Velcro at the ankle…

They are warm, maybe too warm.

I often cycle instead of driving. I study and spend a lot of time in the library. Sometimes when I walk it gets very cold around 2-3am. They are perfect for this weather (mid/low 40). Haven't worn them in colder weather yet. Great job on the windshield. If I wear them when it's warmer outside (60's-50's) my feet get covered in sweat. They don't breathe very well, but you can expect that from something windproof. Maybe I just sweat more than other people. I don't have it with me right now, but I

Not bad for this money.

First off, these aren't Pearl Izumi, Pactimo, Castelli, etc. While they're pretty good for the money, they overall lack the fit and quality that the big names have. However, they do what they're supposed to do - keep feet warm on cold days, but the material doesn't move with them, and neither does the clothing of the above greats. They also keep your feet warm. On a 50 degree day with only a pair of dungarees under my pants, my feet were almost too warm after a 5 mile, 25 minute commute to…

Legit Cold Weather Biker Pants

Let's discuss the important aspects of these pants. Size, Warmth, Quality. I have a short athletic build (5ft 6in, 175#, large buttocks and hips, average waist - waist size 33-34). I chose size L although I usually wear medium. They might tighten as I gain weight but they are in perfect condition now. If you are taller there is extra length but the velcro at the ankles keeps the length in check for smaller guys like me. They also don't clump too much, so they still look good and are tapered…
