First off, these aren't Pearl Izumi, Pactimo, Castelli, etc. While they're pretty good for the money, they overall lack the fit and quality that the big names have. However, they do what they're supposed to do - keep feet warm on cold days, but the material doesn't move with them, and neither does the clothing of the above greats. They also keep your feet warm. On a 50 degree day with only a pair of dungarees under my pants, my feet were almost too warm after a 5 mile, 25 minute commute to work. The next day it was 40 degrees and my feet stayed comfortable on the same ride. So these pants should do very well when the weather gets colder at the end of winter. Aside from not being able to move their legs as well as mentioned above, they also don't breathe well. I haven't found any vents that could be adjusted to allow sweat to escape so moisture stays close to the feet and this can be uncomfortable on cold days as moisture can cool down next to the feet with no way out. , they're pretty decent, should be very good on very cold days, with a thick base layer underneath to wick moisture away from your feet and them as an outer layer to block the wind and elements and keep you warm.
