I bought this when it was on sale and the price was very good compared to all the other websites I looked at for this product. Let's start by saying that the box is large and made of thick quality cardboard. It weighs a ton and I was able to carry it myself up to the second floor to start assembling. I found everything was well packaged and no part of the chair was damaged in transit. Lots of flexible foam and tape packaging to protect your new gaming throne! Assembly: I missed the instructions a bit as the pictures were small, as was the text, but I was able to follow them. Most of the hardware comes pre-installed where it needs to be, which is actually nice since you don't have to figure out what size and where it's located. The build was pretty easy overall and I would say it was a 3 out of 10 in difficulty. Product quality: I was amazed at the quality of the material, it feels like leather, nice and thick and just feels great (soft but hard)! The frame makes a very robust impression. The base of the chair is actually aluminum which is really well made and not plastic like pretty much every other gaming chair I've seen. The wheels roll well on my carpet and I personally think they look great! In general I was very satisfied. This chair has many adjustments and allows you to recline and only adjust the back of the seat to a lying position. My last gaming chair didn't let you rock at all, just recline, which was lacking in my previous office chair. Use: I find the lumbar pillow a bit too big for my taste, but still not bad. The headrest pad is a bit firm, but it does the job well and feels comfortable overall. I will say that the seat base is solid, very solid in fact as other reviewers say. I personally don't find it offensive, but I like a hard chair. I've had soft office chairs and found that they sagged and the cushion lost springiness very quickly. Anyone looking for a soft cushion like a seating group will not be satisfied. Overall I'm happy with the overall fit. Air: I think this feature is great! I drive a Lexus with air-cooled seats and it works very similarly. It's not too loud and seems to produce just the right amount of air for me personally on a medium setting. The wired plug is long enough for my situation, but if you like flipping, you might need an extension cord. You can also remove the cable if for some reason you don't use the air-cooled option. Conclusion: Pro's: Great leather-like material! Looks fantastic with my other Thermaltake products! Very well made and looks like it will last a lifetime! The Air function is really important! The armrests have multiple positions and I like them too. Cons: Heavy box to transport upstairs (laughs). Could have been a little softer in my opinion and the lumbar pillow could have been a little smaller. All in all a great chair, I have other Thermaltake products and I think this was another good purchase.
