The nylon of this cape does have a slight sheen, but does not have the color-changing "rainbow sheen" of the greenish-black simulated photo, product box, or listing header. The cloak is really just a plain semi-matte black shade. Of course, this slight color variation doesn't affect the overall performance of the cloak in any way, but I think it's a detail worth mentioning. It appears to be a quality product that is a good size and carefully finished. I love that it's lightweight, machine washable and water resistant, and the attached snap closure provides a secure fit that will easily withstand repeated use over time. It offers salon clients a nice level of protection and is also great for at-home haircuts. I would say that I am completely satisfied!
