During a reception a week ago, one of my guests spilled red wine on my white lace tablecloth! It took 3 washes and an overnight soak to remove the stain. For the price, I think it was worth buying this protector. As long as possible. Can't speak for durability because I just received it; I could comment on that later. Others have commented on the difficulty of smoothing out wrinkles. Well, tip: wash the protector in a washing machine with hot water. Let it sit and stand for a while. Drain, remove protective film and hang over bathroom bar. Smooth it out while drying it with a soft cloth. Then put it on the table! The wrinkles are less pronounced and will disappear over time. If you are in a hurry to use it for fun, use a hair dryer to soften the creases even more. Be careful not to hold it too close to the plastic. Works for me!
