My black dashboard attracts a lot of dust. This product seems to prevent dust from settling on the dashboard so I think it's ok. Don't expect a shine when you clean with this product. That's a plus for me. I wanted the dashboard to look clean and not like an oil slick. Spraying on a rag means a lot of waste. However, spraying directly on the dashboard resulted in splashes on the windshield. Bought on the recommendation of an automotive newspaper columnist, but not impressed.
