Still the best after all these years. New camcorders pale in comparison

I've had this camcorder for about 4 years now and I have to say it's the best. Recently I was looking for a new camcorder simply because I wanted to upgrade my video equipment. I decided to check out several different formats and I have to tell you that the quality of the new camcorders is terrible compared to this one. . Let me tell you about my experience. The first camcorder I bought was the Hitachi Hybrid Camcorder DV-HS500A. This is a combination hard drive and DVD camcorder that I received openly from Circuit City. I was very impressed by this for four hours. As it got dark, I noticed that the low-light image quality was terrible. I tried every setting and I have to tell you it was useless so I returned to Circuit City. Then I bought a JVC GRD-850 which was a great camcorder except I couldn't download videos to the PC. This is because it had a FireWire port, but it was disabled. Finally, I tried the Panasonic PV-GS85 but the image quality was far off and washed out. Not to mention grainy videos in low light. Then I finally gave up. DCR-TRV250 The most important thing about this Sony camcorder is its many functions. The biggest feature is the availability of HI-8 video camera tape. Why is this a feature? because it's cheap. And best of all, each cassette holds 120 minutes of recording. A MiniDV tape holds a maximum of 60 minutes, a DVD 30 minutes and a flash drive. Well, it depends on the flash drive. At the moment, the only thing that allows you to have more time is a camcorder with a hard drive. Picture quality Picture quality is vivid and bright, faithfully reproducing the true colors of the scene. Night shots With a 1/6 inch single CCD, night shots are incredible. Very little granularity. , if any. The best is the bright light built into the device and Night-Shot that gives you night vision. I would rather use a digital camera. Battery life The included battery lasts about 1 hour depending on whether you use the LCD or the viewfinder. I recommend the viewfinder. The extended battery lasts about 4 hours. I usually use both batteries a feature I like when the background is lighter than the foreground (i.e. the sun is behind you) you can press the backlight button to make your face brighter. WARNING: Do not point the camera directly at the sun, it may damage the CCD sensor. Output and connectivity The camera has an S-Video jack for connecting to an S-Video port on a TV, an A/V-Out jack for connecting to an RCA jack, Firewire for connecting to a computer, and a USB Connection for other connections. to the calculator. Overall, this is an excellent camcorder, but it's not without its flaws. 1. Hard.2. It does not interact with Vista.3. Great compared to new camcorders.4. There is no slot for memory cards. good moments 1. Stable and proven technology2. Night vision 3. Excellent in low light conditions.4. backlight.5. video light.6. Inexpensive cassettes and 120 minutes in LP mode.7. Download videos to your PC using most available video programs (e.g. Windows Movie Maker)8. Adjustable viewfinder. Excellent purchase. Pick it up if you can. Many people are still looking for this camcorder because it is backward compatible with 8mm tapes.

Pros
  • Is it worth the money
