the package arrived on time. There was a hole in the box but nothing was damaged inside. Assembly was fairly easy and quick. The instructions are simple. I used a folded towel and a regular hammer to pull the plastic rollers open as I don't have a rubber mallet. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver (unless you want to use the edge of the small cheap wrench that comes with the reels as the flat head). The hardest part of the build for me was screwing the shelf into the keyboard tray. The shelf comes pre-drilled with pilot holes, but you need to make sure the screws are straight in and use some force when screwing them in from the bottom up rather than removing them. You need to lightly tighten all four screws at the same time so there are no gaps on one side. You'll see what I mean. It's not that hard, just the hardest part. I am 5'4" tall and the height of the keyboard tray as it is designed was not comfortable for me. I need my elbows to be more than 90 degrees down. Solution for me with this item - I have only the back panel, keyboard tray and first shelf moved down one step from the instructions.This means I have to lay my computer on its side if I decide to put it on the bottom shelf because the middle shelf is now below. But the ergonomics are worth it. Total build time was 2 1/2 hours but that involved reworking three shelves to get the correct height before installing them (I also unscrewed the casters after hammering them in had to see if that would work, but that made the top too short, so I decided to screw it back on and move the keyboard tray instead.) This workstation isn't the only one to be considered a height-adjustable bar is advertised, but you have options on where to place the shelves. This workstation is great for my home office and I might even order another one for my office at work. At the moment in my work office I use something that sits on top of my dresser that allows me to stand there and type and it works pretty well (a $22 standing desk you can build yourself with Ikea parts ). That's why I knew the optimal height for my keyboard tray.
