I read a lot of reviews to finally understand how to do it - I've attached a video for reference. Line up posts with the holes on the press. With the second click you are done. Another tip: don't double-tap the aluminum pads - if you make a mistake the first time, you've already changed the shape, and a clean button won't work on the second try (it won't be the right circle, after judging by some reviews). Luckily you have 999 others to try to get it right. Finally, make sure your paper is slightly smaller than the plastic cover. I ordered a 2" round hole punch which is perfect for the size I received (44mm), about 1/8" smaller than the recommended paper size. Be careful when unfolding this. I went to get what I thought was part of a press to put together but it was a cutter and I cut my finger. Ouch.
