Decent but not amazing

Instructions not very good. Do yourself a favor and buy a hole punch. The one that comes with the kit works well if you make a button. We've made hundreds and a hole punch is a must. The plastic piece on the back slides out too easily so we ended up putting two drops of glue on the finished badges and that helped. I think it's great for the price, especially since it comes with 1000 icons. I will try to buy another one sometime. I understand that I prefer the style with a solid metal pin that…

Frustrating piece of junk

I've done at least 40 tries with this thing and couldn't make a single button. Yes I made sure I only had a piece of mylar, plain paper (not a photo or anything thick) and everything was aligned correctly, but the fronts didn't touch the backs no matter what I did. It didn't matter to use more or less force. I even tried adding a second pin to the crystal to increase the height, which allowed the front and back to connect (somewhat), but even those buttons were warped and unusable. Also, beware

Pros
  • Great overall performance

I followed the instructions but more than 3/4 of my icons bend when applying the backing. (This is their 1 1/4" machine and is no longer listed on Revain!) Note that the area that is not crimped correctly is always the same area, which means the die is defective. I even checked the badge after the first step and did the left and top crimps correctly. This is to fold the top edge flat when attaching the matrix substrate, ALWAYS THE TOP EDGE of the badge. I tried very light paper with no change…

Great if you understand!

I read a lot of reviews to finally understand how to do it - I've attached a video for reference. Line up posts with the holes on the press. With the second click you are done. Another tip: don't double-tap the aluminum pads - if you make a mistake the first time, you've already changed the shape, and a clean button won't work on the second try (it won't be the right circle, after judging by some reviews). Luckily you have 999 others to try to get it right. Finally, make sure your paper is…

Totally satisfied and easy to use

Pressing this button is awesome. I know a lot of button clicks get mixed reviews, but thought I'd clear up a possible confusion someone might have regarding icon usage and clicking. It's a simple device so it's very easy to get acquainted with and it comes with an instruction sheet for setup and basic usage. The push button style is similar to the Neil Enterprises brand push button machine but is lighter and much more affordable. First of all, the machine doesn't require much force to press…
