This has been my main lens for a long time. I even have a powerful zoom adapter. By the way, this is the only lens that the Canon Power Zoom Adapter works with. Requires some lens correction in the rendering software. Sharp for a whale lens. This is useful for portraits, but not sharp enough. It's so much fun for street photography. This gives you some range and versatility. I will use it until I can afford a 24-70mm f/2.8. This lens must be provided by Canon as a boxed lens. This would help people get more creative and plan to spend more on lenses they feel suit their style. This lens features image stabilization that ensures stable video and prevents image shake due to slight movement. AF is not fast, but fast enough. It's very quiet, so you can use it for videos without hearing motor noise coming from your lens. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
