Not suitable for electric toothbrushes and accessories

Will these brush heads work with your toothbrush? GOOD QUESTION! My electric toothbrush doesn't have a model name on it so I bought these as they look identical to the one I had. Turns out they're only 99% identical so they don't match, what an easy way to spend $20. Why are there toothbrush heads that come so close to a fit but don't match? Why isn't there a model name or number on my toothbrush if this is important for purchasing the right brushes? Now I use dwarf brushes by hand like someone in prison.
