This is a real raincoat and I've used it twice within a few days of receiving it and was happy to go for a walk in the rain. He looks great too. It has good water resistance, it's not too hot and there seems to be room for underneath in the fall without feeling too big. The hood is great too, put a roll-up hat underneath and you're especially good on the go in the rain. A NOTE: When I first received it, I didn't realize for about an hour that the "duffel bag" was inside the jacket itself. Which I am very happy about. This is an inside pocket and is easier to use the other way around, just roll your jacket in after pulling the pocket out. It fits "like magic" and has a velcro closure. ;)
