Being a guy I have short hair and it's really difficult for me to get curls my hair with anything larger than 1/2 inch. I have gone through 2 other 1/2 inch irons and this is by far the best of them all. I had an hsi and this straightener was too sticky to my hair and the Amovee straightener is too big and over 1/2 inch. This straightener is very very smooth with sharp edges to make a tight curl or wave or you can just straighten your hair. 1 Month Update: This hair straightener really is one of the best. It still works perfectly and it's still silky smooth.
