Review on Just Artifacts Chinese Japanese Lanterns by Corey Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great decorative item! Economical, Stylish, Compact, Lightweight

This is a lightweight, almost lightweight version of paper lanterns traditionally made from bamboo ribs and fiber paper/washi. This economical version is made from ultra-thin wire and thin tissue paper, making it a non-bulky and inexpensive alternative. The assembly is very simple. The rectangular tension wire has corners at the bottom that abut against the lantern's lower/smaller annular hole, and lugs at the top that fit into small rings in the lantern's larger/upper hole. It has an open ring welded to the top bar where you thread the pendant light cord. Be careful, these lights are fragile, plus any protruding ends of the wires are very sharp. I think they are great for dorm room, special occasion, kids room and different styles of decor like bohemian, romantic etc. Very fun item, wish it had different sizes. Obviously not as sturdy or bold as a traditional style lantern, but still good for simple or temporary decorative lighting. Time will tell how they hold up over time, dust and the rainy season here in Florida. I think with care they can last for years. I'll update if anything comes up.
