After attending a Traeger cooking class, someone pointed out a neat trick: wear oversized nitrile gloves over them (to protect against liquids) and the cotton will keep your hands warm! Works better than oven mitts and you don't have to worry about liquids running through your gloves and burning your hands (but keep liquids under your wrist cuffs or you'll fry your hands!). This allows me to take the brisket and pork ham straight off the grill with my hands if needed :D They can be washed but the weave is really open so. They fall apart after about 3 washes. Cheap enough not to worry.
