I needed a lens that would work well for photographing birds and animals in their natural environments, so I purchased this one. Prior to it, I had been making use of the Nikkor 55-300 for close to a year. Made the switch to the Nikkor 70-300 because of its quicker autofocus. The lens is to one's liking! Excellent design, good speed and accuracy in focusing, and an iron stabilizer. Continuous manual focus control helps a lot! You are able to make adjustments to the focus at any time, and by manually turning the ring, you may utilize the lens as a spyglass while simultaneously conserving the power of the battery. 67 millimeters is the thread diameter for the filter. I do not use a filter to protect the lens when I use it. The duty of providing protection has been transferred to a deep and comprehensive cowl, which shields the wearer not only from glare but also from the ever-present branches. In the range of 70-200 millimeters, the lens is sharp beginning with an open aperture; however, in the range of 200-300 millimeters, the sharpness is slightly lower. On such FRs, it is desirable to cover the aperture to f/8; however, micro-sharpness is still not sufficient, and small details sometimes merge together. The pattern of the lens is both fascinating and aesthetically beautiful. There is chromatic aberration present in the Nikkor 70-300 lens. Although though they are simple to fix during the processing stage, I would still prefer to see them less frequently and to a smaller amount. P.S. Although the shooting of wild animals and birds became far less frequent very rapidly, there are still random instances where birds can be seen in the picture. But not a single gathering of a large number of people that I go to is complete without at least one television set. activities including parades, music, and other exciting events. It's impossible for me to picture any of the scenes I've captured without a telephoto lens.
