These are just rubber parts so I had to reuse the metal strips from the old blade. It took a few minutes to figure it out, but it was worth it. Comes in a nice cardboard box instead of plastic packaging. I have used the dressing on a Michelin all weather wood and it is very close to the original rubber insert. Remove the old wiper blade assembly from the car wiper arm and work on the kitchen counter where you can see everything clearly and manipulate it more easily without damaging the metal strips of the old replacement filler. The replacement element is held on to the rubber by a wedge like the original replacement block (mine is at least). I ended up cutting off the end of the old replacement head (without damaging the metal strip) to remove the replacement head from the wiper blade. History lesson: You used to be able to buy replacement wiper blades, they were available at every gas station, you just had to know the length and whether they were TRICO or ANCO blades. Now manufacturers want to tempt us into buying a full blade every time the rubber wears out. I was very happy fitting it on one person and NOT buying a brand new blade assembly! PLUS keep good parts out of landfill.
