I'm not a leather lover so I had no idea what Horween Chromexcel leather was or why it was special. I checked and it should be high quality leather, great but it still doesn't tell me much. What I can tell you in layman's terms is that this strap is very comfortable, it's a bit thicker than the original but not enough to even notice it while typing. Definitely looks professional, I bought Wine Red-Black and it has aged well. The strings are still in great condition. The buckle looks like it's anodized, not painted, and despite daily removal and "not-so-gentle" use, it only has a very small scratch, which I've only noticed now that I'm writing a review, so no problem , no durability. After a few days I noticed the strap was shrinking where the buckle was. I was concerned that these sections would weaken and eventually fail, but the opposite happened. These compressed areas have become slightly harder than the skin around them and so far have not caused any weakness or flex. This actually had an overall positive effect as it reduced the overall height of the watch strap when worn. The watch is much more water resistant than the original leather strap that came with the Galaxy 3. This bracelet is made of two pieces of leather glued from "fuzzy side" to "fuzzy side" so the smooth surface is both inside and outside. Stripes, this side doesn't absorb as much water. Even after dipping my wrist in the bath while washing my daughter and drying the towel fast enough to make it wearable, in the case of the original I had to take it off and let it dry for hours before I could wear it. put on. After a month and a half of wearing this strap I am happy with it and will be wearing it as my "daily driver".
